A double-shear selector rod for the BMW E46 manual shifter linkage. The factory rod pivots on a single-shear joint at each end — simple and low-cost, but one that lets the joint flex and rock under load, adding play right where shift precision matters most.
This rod replaces both pivots with a double-shear clevis: CNC-machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum ends pinned on both sides of the joint instead of one, carried on a rigid, aerospace-grade carbon-fiber center section. Removing that single-sided flex tightens the connection between the shifter and the transmission selector shaft for a more direct, repeatable shift.
